The 2027 recruiting class looked pretty settled a few months ago. Then the dominoes started falling.
AJ Williams, who entered the summer as the No. 1 player in the 2028 class, moved up a year and immediately became one of the best players in the 2027 cycle. Adan Diggs made the same jump. Kam Mercer did it earlier in the year. Suddenly, the line between the 2027 and 2028 classes isn't nearly as clean as it used to be.
