August is usually the part of the recruiting calendar when things start getting interesting without necessarily getting settled. The summer evaluation period is over, coaches have had plenty of chances to watch these guys in person, and the conversations that started months ago are beginning to turn into actual visits and serious contenders.
That is where things stand with the 2027 class right now.
