The scoring leaderboard rewards volume. The efficiency leaderboard rewards value. A few players in the 2027 class scored at a high level without needing a high number of shots to do it, and those are often the ones whose games age the best.
The headline belongs to Marcus Spears Jr. of Drive Nation. He averaged 20.9 points on 59.3 percent shooting from the floor and an almost unbelievable 52.6 percent from three. Scoring 20 a game is common at this level. Scoring 20 a game while shooting nearly 60 percent overall and better than half from deep is not. That is the most efficient high volume scoring season on the board.
